Required Experience & Qualifications
- Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to effectively present information to clinical and business leaders.
- Epic HB Expertise: Minimum of 8 years working with Epic Hospital Billing (HB).
- Revenue Cycle & Billing: Demonstrated hands-on experience translating revenue cycle business needs into Epic billing functionality.
- Epic Certification: Resolute Hospital Billing Administration required; other certifications (Billing Charging, Long Term Care Billing, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Epic build knowledge, third-party vendor integrations (Experian, Hyland Onbase, Relay Health), and familiarity with CMS IPF PPS billing regulations.
- Team & Communication Skills: Ability to work in small groups under tight deadlines; excellent verbal and written English proficiency.

- Contracts, Behavioral Health, Work queue development/management

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus 8 years of directly related experience.
Credentials:
- Pass a general background check.
- Required: Resolute Hospital Billing Administration (Epic) Certification and Resolute Hospital Billing Charging (Epic) Certification.
- Long Term Care Billing Certification.
- Resolute Hospital Billing Expected Reimbursement Contracts Administration Certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Analysis & Documentation: Capture business needs for new Epic functionality or enhancements, ensuring alignment with hospital billing processes.
- Testing & Validation: Develop test plans for system changes, ensuring no adverse impact on existing workflows.
- Primary Support Contact: Serve as the go-to resource for end-users of the Epic HB application.
- Workflow Optimization: Guide design, build, and testing of Epic software related to hospital billing; analyze technical issues.
- Integrated System Changes: Identify and implement requested updates; coordinate integrated testing across various Epic environments.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work with quality, operational, and business leaders to optimize system design for efficiency and financial goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Investigate process enhancements by rounding within revenue cycle areas; incorporate findings into build decisions.
- Data Integrity & Security: Maintain and secure Epic HB environments, ensuring compliance with privacy and security regulations.
- Documentation & Training: Prepare system documentation and assist in educational efforts for upgrades, optimizations, and changes.
- Epic Releases & Upgrades: Stay current on Epic application releases; participate in upgrade planning, testing, and implementation.
